Twelve folks have been killed after a rushing dumper collided with an auto-rickshaw ferrying passengers in the early hours of Thursday in the Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, police stated. The accident was attributed to low visibility brought on by dense fog, a recurring problem throughout winter months in the area.
The collision occurred on Farrukhabad highway below the Allahganj police station limits.
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath expressed deep sorrow over the incident and provided condolences to the grieving households. He directed officers to prioritise the quick remedy of the injured and lengthen all doable help to the households of the deceased.
