131 sarus cranes spotted in Awadh forest division after two-day census

After the two-day census carried out by the Uttar Pradesh forest division, as many as 131 Sarus cranes had been spotted in the Awadh Forest division.

In the meantime, 4 Saraus cranes had been spotted in Kukrail, 31 in BKT, 4 in Malihabad, 4 in Sarojininagar, and 21 in Mohanlalganj, stated Singh, sharing particulars of the census.

In 2022, over 19,000 Sarus cranes had been current in the state in response to the census.

“We’re collating the information and the figures will likely be launched quickly for all the state,” stated Mamata Sanjeev Dubey, principal chief conservator of forest and head of forest power, Uttar Pradesh.

The Sarus crane falls below schedule I of the Wildlife Safety Act and guidelines don’t permit anybody to maintain it in their house.
