The Ghaziabad police on Thursday arrested a 21-year-old man who allegedly molested and beat up a 21-year-old girl in public view on a street in Sahibabad on Tuesday, and stated movies of the incident was broadly shared on social media.
The police recognized the suspect as Rohan Chaudhary and stated he was arrested by the Hyperlink Street police from close to the Sahibabad bus depot after the girl’s brother, 28, lodged a police grievance.
“My sister and I have been going to the native market when the suspect stopped us halfway and began beating me up. When my sister intervened, he assaulted her too and touched her inappropriately. Seeing this, locals intervened. The suspect then threatened each of us and abused us verbally in entrance of the gang,” the brother stated in his grievance to Hyperlink Street police.
