The Gautam Budh Nagar police on Thursday booked the husband, father in-law and mom in-law of a lady who allegedly died by suicide at their Greater Noida residence on Wednesday, stated law enforcement officials conversant in the matter. The brother of the lady had alleged that the in-laws didn’t inform her kinfolk in regards to the 27-year-old’s dying and later cremated her secretly, stated investigators.
In accordance with the police, they acquired a grievance from the deceased woman’s brother at 5 pm on Wednesday, in which he stated that his sister was killed by her in-laws at their residence in a village below the Rabupura police station jurisdiction.
“The lady obtained married in 2016 and the couple had three kids – a son and two daughters. On Wednesday morning, she had a combat along with her husband after which she went to the lavatory, the place she was later discovered hanging from the ceiling by her in-laws,” stated Rudra Kumar Singh, assistant commissioner of police-4, Greater Noida.
Sudhir Kumar, station home officer of Rabupura police station, stated the woman’s brother, who’s a resident of Kulesra village in Noida, obtained a name from an area resident in Rabupura, informing him that his sister has been cremated by her household.
“On the idea of the brother’s grievance, a primary info report has been registered towards three people – the woman’s husband, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, below sections 302 (murder) and 201 (inflicting disappearance of proof of offence, or giving false info to display offender), of the Indian Penal Code,” stated Singh.
He added that the three suspects are on the run.
