The Gautam Budh Nagar police busted a gang of three males who allegedly used to promote stolen bikes at an affordable value with faux registration numbers in Noida, Better Noida, Ghaziabad, and surrounding districts, police stated. They stated whereas two of the suspects had been nabbed, one continues to be at massive.
Based on police, one of the suspects, recognized as Surendra alias Pehelwan, 26, was arrested whereas he was making an attempt to evade police, who had been deployed for routine checking close to Golchakkar in Better Noida on Saturday round 9.30 pm.
“Over suspicion, the suspect was nabbed, and throughout the investigation, it was discovered that he was driving a stolen bike by placing a faux registration quantity on it. When he was interrogated, he revealed that he had stolen the bike from Dadri locality alongside along with his confederate Anil,” stated Better Noida further DCP Ashok Kumar.
“He additionally revealed that until now their gang had stolen 18 bikes alongside along with his confederate and saved them at a vacant plot in Sigma-2 in Better Noida. When a police crew raided the plot, Anil managed to flee whereas Kapil, 24, who was employed by Anil for the safety of bikes, was arrested,” the ADCP stated.
A case below related sections of the Indian Penal Code was registered in opposition to the suspects at Beta-2 police station. “Whereas two of the gang members are arrested, efforts are underway to nab the third,” the ADCP added.
