Kerala Journalist Siddique Kappan walked out of Lucknow jail on Thursday morning after remaining behind bars for 2 years.

The classes court docket on Wednesday had signed his launch orders on bail.

After popping out of jail, Kappan thanked the media for supporting him.

“I’ve come out of jail after 28 months. I would like to thank the media for supporting me. False allegations have been put in opposition to me. I’m blissful to be out now”, he advised media individuals outdoors the jail premises.

The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad excessive court docket on December 23, 2022, had granted bail to Kappan within the Prevention of Cash Laundering Act (PMLA) case.
