A 27-year-old priest at a temple in Sector 41 has been arrested by the Gautam Budh Nagar police for allegedly harassing a 30-year-old lady by morphing her footage and posting them on social media with her contact quantity.
The suspect has been recognized as Shiv Kumar Mishra, a resident of Noida’s Sector 41, and hailing from Hamirpur district of Uttar Pradesh.
In response to the police, in her grievance submitted late Monday night time, the lady stated the priest has been threatening her for the previous six months.
“He has created a number of faux profiles in my title on Fb. He posted mine and my daughter’s telephone numbers on social media too. He additionally morphed my photos with random males and uploaded them after including vulgar songs in it. Following this, I’ve been getting calls and video calls from strangers who speak vulgar with me,” the lady stated in her grievance.
She stated due to the priest’s misdeeds, she ended up with a nasty repute.
Following the grievance, police registered a case towards Mishra underneath sections 354D(stalking), 507(prison intimidation by an nameless communication) and 509(phrase, gesture or act meant to insult the modesty of a lady) of the Indian Penal Code in addition to related sections of the IT Act on the Sector 49 police station late Monday night time.
“Groups have been shaped to nab the suspect and on Tuesday, we managed to arrest Mishra from close to the under-construction flyover in Sector 41. He was produced earlier than the courtroom and despatched to judicial custody,” Saumya Singh, assistant commissioner of police-3, Noida, stated.
