Atiq Ahmad’s brother Ashraf was allegedly threatened by a Uttar Pradesh Police official who had stated he could be eradicated after being taken out of jail, his lawyer claimed on Monday.
“Whereas being taken from Prayagraj to Bareilly, Ashraf was taken to Police Line the place a senior police official told him that he survived this time however could be taken out of jail inside 15 days and eradicated”, Vijay Mishra, who represents the Ahmad brothers, told ANI.
“Throughout my assembly with him in Bareilly district jail, I requested Ashraf in regards to the police official. He did not disclose his identify as he felt I’d be in bother. Ashraf stated in case he’s murdered a sealed envelope will attain the chief justice of India, chief justice of excessive courtroom and the chief minister”, the lawyer added.
Atiq Ahmad and his brother Ashraf have been shot useless whereas being taken for medical check in Prayagraj on Saturday evening.
