The sufferer, recognized by his first identify, Pankaj, was enjoying with three different kids within the space when the roof of the bathroom built as part of the central authorities scheme ‘Swachh Bharat Mission‘ in 2016 abruptly gave approach and fell on the kid.
The incident happened at Chapartala gram panchayat of Pasgawan block underneath Maigalganj police limits.
The boy’s father, Lalta Prasad, a small-time farmer, filed a grievance towards the village head and village secretary for “making such a poor high quality rest room” that led to his son’s demise. Prasad additional alleged that although his son died on the spot, police are but to register his grievance within the matter.
District panchayati raj officer, Saumya Sheel Singh, who visited the village on Sunday to probe the incident, stated, “It’s an unlucky incident. All such bogs built underneath authorities beneficiary schemes will now be inspected.”
In the meantime, Deepak Rai, SHO of Maigalganj, stated, “We have acquired a grievance and an FIR shall be registered after a report is submitted by the district administration.” A neighborhood resident identified that about 20 bogs have been built by the gram panchayat at the moment and “all of them are non-functional attributable to poor high quality supplies used throughout building”. He added: “The price range for every rest room was estimated at Rs 14,000.”
