A 22-year-old man working as a junior engineer at a manufacturing facility in Sector 60, Noida, was arrested for allegedly bringing a gun to work to show off to his colleagues on Monday.
In accordance to the police, the suspect, Nitin Kumar, is from Aligarh and is at present dwelling in a rented home in Mamura village.
“At 7.30 pm on Monday, we acquired details about an worker being held by Uflex manufacturing facility safety officers at the entry gate with a country-made pistol. A workforce from Sector 58 police station arrived on the scene and arrested Kumar. A rustic-made pistol bore, in addition to a stay carriage, have been recovered from his possession,” stated Sanjay Kumar Singh, station home officer at Sector 58 police station.
Kumar was apprehended by the secutiy guards as he entered the premises for his shift, stated officers related to the case.
“Kumar is a junior engineer who has been with the corporate for three months. Throughout interrogation, he revealed that he wished to show off to his colleagues, so he introduced a gun to work. The gun was found by manufacturing facility safety officers whereas checking luggage at the manufacturing facility’s entrance, after which he was detained and police have been known as,” Singh defined.
Kumar was booked below Part 3/25 of the Arms Act. A neighborhood courtroom despatched him to judicial custody.
