Police stated the suspects duped the sufferer on the pretext of getting the registry achieved for an industrial plot. As per the sufferer, he met one of the suspects on the Better Noida authority’s workplace in 2018 after which he was duped into paying ₹23 lakh for the plot registry.
Based on the complainant who requested to be nameless, he had purchased an industrial plot in Better Noida’s Ecotech-11 from one other individual. “I needed to get the plot’s switch memorandum, completion certificates and functioning certificates from the Better Noida authority. In July 2018, once I was on the authority workplace, I met a person named Ashish Garg, who stated that he works on the authority and might get my work achieved for ₹20 lakh,” he stated.
The sufferer transferred ₹18.41 lakh between July 2018 and July 2020 in installments, police stated.
“On July 14, 2020, Garg gave me a switch memorandum doc, saying that the work has been accomplished. Later in 2021, when the sufferer was nonetheless not capable of get the two certificates, Garg got here to his house with one other individual named Azad Singh. “Garg advised me that if I give ₹4.50 lakh to Singh, he can get my work achieved and get me the two pending certificates. Trusting them, I transferred the quantity to Singh’s account however the work was nonetheless not achieved. On the idea of the grievance, an FIR was registered on the Sector 49 police station on Sunday, stated police.
