An Uttar Pradesh State Street Transport Company (UPSRTC) bus ferrying 15 passengers caught fire whereas shifting on the Yamuna Expressway in Higher Noida on Thursday, stated fire division officers, including that neither passengers nor the motive force was injured within the incident and so they managed to shortly alight the car on noticing fumes and smoke.
Based on Pradeep Kumar Chaubey, chief fire officer of Gautam Budh Nagar, the fire division was alerted concerning the incident via social media.
“A commuter posted a video of the burning bus on Yamuna Expressway round 3.50pm following which the fire division took word of the incident and rushed assist. A fire service unit left from Ecotech-1 fire station was despatched to the spot,” stated Chaubey.
The bus was going from Noida in direction of Jewar when it caught fire on the expressway across the 24km milestone, beneath Rabupura police station jurisdiction.
“By the point the fire division’s fire service unit reached the spot round 4pm, the fire was already extinguished by the fire service models from the Jewar toll plaza and likewise from Jaypee Infratech. The station fire service models have been used for security functions. The motive force of the car dialled the emergency quantity following which these fire service models reached the spot and extinguished the blaze,” stated Chaubey.
He added that nobody was injured within the incident because the bus driver, employees and passengers acquired off the bus after smoke began coming from its engine. The trigger for the fire is but to be ascertained, fire officers stated.
