In his grievance given at Hazratganj Kotwali police station in Lucknow, Sharma stated Khera talked in regards to the PM’s late father Damodar Das Mool Chand Modi, and made unsavoury remarks.

“Khera mocked PM Modi by linking his father’s title with the title of father of Gautam Adani. He made sarcastic feedback on PM Narendra Modi,” he stated.

He stated that Khera’s feedback have been punishable underneath the availability of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and his act was condemnable and reprehensible.
“In a democracy, there’s a freedom of expression and of speech, however this doesn’t enable one to mock at some individual or communicate in regards to the household of the individual,” he stated.
Aparna Rajat Kaushik, DCP Central Zone, stated police registered a case underneath IPC 153-A (selling enmity), 500 (defamation), 504 (breach of peace).
“An officer has been assigned the case and shall be probing it,” she stated.
