The Uttar Pradesh authorities has directed the divisional commissioners and district magistrates to probe negative news published in newspapers by media houses.
“If the state authorities comes to know that the info have been twisted and the negative news merchandise has been published on the idea of incorrect info to malign the picture of state authorities or district administration, the respective district Justice of the Peace would despatched a letter to the media group/newspaper’s administration for clarification and a duplicate of the identical shall be marked to the data division,” stated principal secretary to chief minister Sanjay Prasad in an order dated August 16, 2023, despatched to all of the divisional commissioners and district magistrates.

In accordance to the order, the negative news objects could be registered/uploaded on the Built-in Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) portal and forwarded for motion to respective divisional commissioners, district magistrates and heads of division.
It says that no interim report on this regard could be accepted.
The district magistrates would ship a letter to the respective division and the district Justice of the Peace’s workplace will add a scanned copy of the letter on the IGRS portal, the order acknowledged.
